Info
Zero Ohms (aka Richard J. Roberts) is, by modern standards, a true renaissance man. He is an artist, a teacher, a philosopher, and a producer. But he is, first and foremost, a brilliant e-musician. He recorded his first ambient CD in 1999. The Glass Bead Game is an instant classic. From the first notes of track one, "The Freemasonry of Science," to the last strains of track 12, "Ocean of Mercy," listeners are rapt. Roberts' gentle atmospheres and intricate sound design carry his listeners to and fro. The smooth flow of the soundscape is hypnotic and caresses deep listeners with love and affection. This great CD is essential e-music. It will appeal to fans of Robert Rich, Constance Demby, Rapoon, and Oophoi. ~ Jim Brenholts, All Music Guide
The Game gets ready to 'Ride'
With a new album on the way and guest slots on projects from Snoop Dogg and Xzibit, the world is getting another dose of Jayceon Taylor.
West Coast rapper and beef magnet the Game is set to follow-up his multiplatinum 2005 debut, The Documentary, with Doctor's Advocate, which hits stores November 14 via Geffen.

The Game
The title of the album seeks to maintain the rapper's lineage with West Coast hip-hop veteran Dr. Dre, although the Game severed his ties with Dre's Aftermath label in the wake of his long-running feud with 50 Cent and G-Unit.
Doctor's Advocate has been lead by "It's Okay (One Blood)," which features reggae star Junior Reid reprising the chorus of his own song of the same name. The song is No. 16 this week on Billboard's Hot Rap Songs chart.
The album's first official single, "Let's Ride (Strip Club)," was produced by Scott Storch and will hit radio next month. A video for the song will be released in October.
"Last time around, I had to shock 'em," Game--real name Jayceon Taylor--said in a statement. "I had to let everyone know that I was the new force bringing back the West Coast and that no one could ignore me. This time I had one thing in mind--greatness. I think the world will feel my hunger."
In addition to Storch, Cool & Dre, and the Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am have produced tracks for the album, which also includes guest spots from Mary J. Blige and Nas.
"He rolls with a different type of people," Will.i.am told Billboard last week. "I was nervous; I didn't know what to expect. But I got to know him in the studio, and he had fun just like everyone else. He loves music just like I love music. That was the bond and respect that we took from that studio session."
It is unknown if Dr. Dre has contributed production to Doctor's Advocate, as he did on The Documentary. Dre is producing five songs of Snoop Dogg's forthcoming Blue Carpet Treatment, on which the Game also makes a guest appearance. Blue Carpet hits stores November 21.
The Game also guests on rapper Xzibit's new album, Full Circle, due October 17 via his own Open Bar Entertainment/Koch.
