Singer ends six-year hiatus; upcoming tour will kick off in Jacksonville, Florida, in January; timing dovetails nicely with boxed set due from Columbia/Legacy.
Billy Joel will kick off his first solo tour in more than six years.
Today, the singer announced just a few dates. So far, four January arena shows are confirmed, beginning January 10 in Jacksonville, Florida., as is a March 7 date in Philadelphia.
Tickets for the first two shows go on sale Saturday, November 19 via Ticketmaster.
Joel's upcoming Columbia/Legacy boxed set, My Lives, is due November 22.
Tour dates so far are as follows:
January 10: Jacksonville, Florida (Veterans Memorial Arena)
January 12: Tampa, Florida (St. Pete Times Forum)
January 19: Boston (TD Banknorth Garden)
January 23: New York City (Madison Square Garden)
March 7: Philadelphia (Wachovia Center)
