Madonna: Malawi Mom or not?
Amid a new round of reports that Madge has adopted an orphan in Malawi, her publicist says she can't comment.
Adoptions are notoriously complex processes.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie.
But when you are the Queen of Pop and you're thinking about adopting a child from the southeast African country of Malawi whose mother died a month after childbirth, it's even more complicated.
A week after widespread reports that Madonna had adopted a son--reports that were subsequently denied by her publicist--a Malawian man has claimed that his son was adopted by Madonna. Yohane Banda told reporters from the UK's Sun and Daily Mail newspapers that his 13-month-old son, David, has been adopted by a "famous US musician."
"I'm very happy," he told the papers. "As you can see there is poverty in my village. I know he will be very happy in America. We are told David will be coming back regularly to his roots."
But contrary to her vehement denials last week, Madonna publicist Liz Rosenberg said, "I am unable to make any official statement at this time."
A London spokeswoman for the singer told the UK papers, "At this time we are unable to give you official confirmation. We may have an official statement within 48 hours."
Madonna has been in Malawi for a week. Her visit has primarily focused on her Raising Malawi project, which is setting up an orphan care center to provide food, education and shelter for up to 4,000 children. It will have projects based on Kabbalah, Judaism's mystical sect, which counts the 48-year-old singer among its devotees.
Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have a son, Rocco, 5, and the singer also has a daughter, Lourdes, 9.
