Info
The title refers to Cain's studio in San Rafael -- built with windows, going against the traditional methods of building studios. Jonathan Cain's track record takes in Journey, the Babys and Bad English, writing many of the major hits for all three; he also produced Michael Bolton's breakthrough album. This album is a collection of light instrumentals, with Cain's piano sharing lead duties with Mark Russo's tenor sax on many of the cuts. As far as it goes, it's pleasant background stuff, relaxing and melodic, nicely recorded and very well played -- Cain has a nice touch with light jazz material, both as a player and as a composer. While this isn't likely to go burning up the landscape, there are no disappointments here. ~ Steven McDonald, All Music Guide
