Jay-Z unveils world tour dates
Rapper-turned-mogul-turned-UN activist will tour the world in seven weeks, performing to raise awareness about the world's water crisis.
For his latest "Encore," Jay-Z is touring the world, rocking the mic from Europe and Africa to Asia and Down Under, all in the name of raising awareness about the world's water crisis.

Jay-Z: New world water.
The rapper and Def Jam president, who said he was retiring from the rap game after 2003's Black Album but has played a number of shows since then and is rumored to be recording a comeback album already, unveiled a 30-date world concert tour today.
The trek kicks off September 9 in Krakow, Poland, and runs through October 28 in Melbourne, Australia. The jaunt will be the subject of an MTV documentary, Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life, which will air on the network November 24. The tour includes no US dates.
"In the beginning, when I was going out on a world tour, I was going out to play music," Jay-Z said in a statement earlier this month. "But I said to myself, I can't go to these places I've been and not go out and see the people that have been touched by my music for over 10 years. From that morphed, 'Well, I'm not just going to go over there and rap to them.' I'm going to help and see what I can do in these areas."
