Italian singer/songwriter Antonello Venditti is known for his passion for Rome, his native city, mentioned in many of his compositions. Inspired by classical music, the singer made his debut in 1971 with an album recorded along with Theorius Campus, followed by 1973's L'orso Bruno and Le Cose Della Vita. Antonello Venditti's breakthrough came in 1975 with the release of Lilly, getting its title track on the top of the most important local charts.
