TuneStage for iPod Nano debuts
iPod accessory maker unveils $180 device that connects the iPod Nano to a home stereo system wirelessly via Bluetooth technology.
The rollout of wireless home stereo systems from audio equipment and iPod accessory makers continued today, as Belkin unveiled its TuneStage wireless system for the iPod Nano.

Belkin's TuneStage for the iPod Nano.
The system, a transmitter that connects to the Nano and a receiver wired to a home stereo system, allows Nano owners to play their music collection through their home stereos wirelessly. It essentially turns the Nano into a remote control, transmitting from up to 33 feet away to a home stereo and does not require direct line-of-sight for control, meaning that it will transmit through walls or stereo cabinet doors.
The transmitter draws power directly from the Nano, so it's a battery burner, but users can charge the Nano via a USB port in the transmitter.
The TuneStage will be available in North America in July for $180, with launches in Asia, Europe, and Australia to follow.
