After a handful of US shows, the Kentucky rockers head to the UK to make up for a series of dates it canceled last year; band then opens for Pearl Jam on Euro tour.

My Morning Jacket, whose album Z made loads of "Best of" lists in 2005, has outlined a UK jaunt to fill in the time between a series of US festival shows and its European tour as the opening band for Pearl Jam in September.
The Kentucky quintet is set to play the jam-band-heavy High Sierra Festival in Northern California this weekend, before playing the Summerfest in Madison, Wisconsin July 3 and the Taste of Chicago Festival July 4. Frontman Jim James will then play a solo set at WXPN's All About the Music Festival in Camden, New Jersey.
The band then heads to Britain for the two-day V Festival and a series of shows throughout the UK. The UK dates make up for a series of shows the band had to cancel last year when James suffered from pneumonia-related health complications. The dates with Pearl Jam begin September 1.
